BL’s Little Free Pantry Honoured by the City of Brantford!

We’re excited to share that two of the driving forces behind BL’s Little Free Pantries were recognized at the Environmental Awards presented by Brantford City Council Ward 5 Councillor Mandy Samwell! 🏆

Daniel Ryan – Astley received the Volunteer Award for his exceptional dedication and ongoing community impact.

Brya Leeder was honoured with the Student Award in recognition of her inspiring environmental leadership.

These awards are a reflection of the deep care and hard work that go into everything we do. We’re also incredibly grateful to the entire BL’s LFP team — your ongoing efforts help ensure that our work remains both environmentally responsible and carbon neutral.

“At our most recent City Council meeting, I had the honour of presenting the 2025 Green Environmental Recognition Awards, a meaningful tradition led by the Environmental and Sustainability Policy Advisory Committee (ESPAC) since 2013.

These awards highlight the incredible work happening right here in Brantford to protect our environment and inspire sustainable change.
