Will you be a BL’s Christmas Angel this holiday season?

Will you be a BL’s Christmas Angel this holiday season?

If you are able to be a Christmas Angel to a senior, or if you are able to sponsor a person or a family for Christmas, please send an inbox message.

We have many seniors who would very much appreciate a Christmas Angel. We also have many families that could really use sponsorship.

Both the donee and the donor will remain anonymous. When we get a donor, we will reach out to the donee to obtain their needs, likes, and wants. This could include non-perishable food, clothes, toys, or essential items. We will then give the list—with no names—to the donor. If the donee wishes to share any personal information with the donor, we will pass that along.

The donor will shop for the gifts. If the donor wants to wrap them, that’s okay; otherwise, they can donate unwrapped gifts, and BL’s Little Free Pantry will wrap them. If a donor prefers to donate money, I will do the shopping. Either myself or another volunteer will deliver the gifts to the donee, or the donee can pick them up at 319 Sheridan St.

We have been doing this for 6 years now, and we always keep everyone’s privacy. We are a registered non-profit, but we cannot issue charity receipts.

Each year, we keep the pantry open on Christmas Day as well. For many, the pantry is a safe place and a routine — somewhere to go when you have no one. We often sit outside for a little while with a person, give a gift, and share compassion.

Thank you in advance for all your love this holiday season. ❤️
